Shenanigans reactivity training walks are £30 per dog and are held on the last Sunday morning of the month in Telford, Shropshire unless otherwise specified.
The training walks are for overly friendly and reactive dogs to join and location does vary.
Please sign up to our newsletter to get updates of future social walks and check. out my events page for updated calendar entries.
Please fill out the Reactivity training walk form if you've not attended before and signed one of my forms in the past.
What's included:
- The reactivity training walk lasts about two hours
- Training starts at the halfway point and these will be on lead training exercises which will be specific to your dogs behaviours.
- People will be paired up for the walk to the halfway point, so reactive and overly friendly dogs welcome.
- There is a private whatsapp group where people are added into each month for updates that are posted leading up to the walk a few days before. This means you can also swap numbers if you get on with someone on the walk
- There will be an exercise shown to the group on how to correctly hold your dogs lead for maximum control before we set off, while waiting for anyone running late (10 minutes max)
- You don't have to stay for the walk back to where we have parked the cars if you haven't parked there or need to go earlier than the walk back takes. This means if you need to leave as soon as the training part has finished you don't need to feel obliged to stay and be late for other events.
Requirements from yourselves:
- Please bring your dogs favourite treats (high value), treats or anything else they like, i.e favourite toys or it could just be you praising them.
- Some water and a collapsible bowl. (You can have a solid bowl of course but the collapsible are space saving)
- Wear comfy shoes/ walking boots/ wellies as terrain, weather and elevation differ during our walks. They are not always pram/wheelchair/mobility scooter friendly.
- A drink for yourself too so you can stay hydrated, the walks can be on an incline.
- Dogs are limited to 2 per owner (only if you can safely manage 2. AKA they can't drag you over) If not then it is 1 dog per owner. Just remember everyone is different, there's nothing wrong with that. I can safely manage 5+ dogs with me, that are trained by me, so often if someone needs extra help I will take your dog for a minute to show you some techniques.
- You can bring the kids, partners, friends if you'd like extra support as the limited spaces aren't for the humans but for the dogs.
